It is definitely not a common issue. I found a proper mod to skip the intro videos which is located here: Just add the .pak file to the Jedi Fallen Order\SwGame\Content\Paks folder where your steam game files are. My virus scanner (Trend Micro) did not detect any threats and I tested it and it is working.
